Emerald Row is located within the heart of Drexel Town Square, and for good reason!

Drexel Town Square is Oak Creek’s newest retail, commercial, residential and civic development, built on the corner of Drexel and Howell Avenues. Reminiscent of a traditional downtown, the new development includes a real Main Street – Oak Creek’s first – with a new City Hall and Library on a town square, surrounded by retail stores, restaurants, shops, businesses and apartments. All of this, with lots of open spaces, walkways and charming amenities like a splash pool, ice rink and a farmer’s market.

The City of Oak Creek is in the southeastern corner of Milwaukee County.  Incorporated in 1955, it has seen a mix of manufacturing, service, agriculture and even an airport.  Residential development has grown steadily, while the city still maintains a charming, rural feel with lots of open spaces and undeveloped land. Major employers in Oak Creek include Master Lock, Northwestern Mutual and Caterpillar Mining.

It’s not “just like downtown.”  It IS downtown.

Drexel Town Square

This is the new downtown. Designed as a planned community on an 85 acre property right on Drexel Avenue. Its a short distance from the freeway, and an easy drive from Milwaukee or Racine. Considered a cutting edge planned development community, and  a model for new suburban developments. Drexel Town Square takes a holistic lifestyle approach.

Banking & Retail

You can literally run errands as you make your way between your new bank, grocery store, cafe, retailer and restaurant. You could visit your neighbors, walk your dog in the park, and pick up dinner without going more than a few blocks from home.

Civic

The new development will include a real Main Street – Oak Creek’s first – with a new City Hall and Library on a town square, surrounded by retail stores, restaurants, shops, businesses and apartments. All of this, with lots of open spaces, walkways and charming amenities like a splash pool, ice rink and a farmer’s market.

Dining

Valentine Coffee is our retail partner, offering café fare with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Belair Cantina and Water Street Brewery and just a few of the other exciting additions. You’ll play host to one of the most exciting new destinations in the area when you visit these hot spots with friends and family.

Leisure & Recreation

Emerald Row is your sanctuary offering the comfort of home paired with the lifestyle amenities that will keep you active and content. Whether you’re enjoying a leisurely nature walk or lying poolside in the sun you have a range of wonderful experiences just outside your door.

Oak Creek, Wisconsin

The southeastern corner of Milwaukee County. Oak Creek was incorporated in 1955 and the new millennium brought a population surge of 21% between 2000 and 2010. With more residents came a flurry of retail, commercial and residential development.  Scores of new homes were built, and with it, many new choices in dining and shopping.

Transportation

Walk, drive or fly. This is a walkable neighborhood that sits within a couple miles of an interstate highway that takes you to Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, or Chicago, and just a few miles from Milwaukee’s Mitchell International airport. I guess that makes this the best of 3 worlds. Remote, urban and accessible.
